Overview

Tatu City is a new 5,000-acre, mixed used development featuring homes, schools, offices, a shopping district, medical clinics, nature areas, a sport & entertainment complex and manufacturing in Kenya. Tatu City is Kenya’s first operational Special Economic Zone, providing reduced corporate taxes, zero-rated VAT and import duty exemptions, among other benefits.
New Southern Energy arranged finance for this project via an innovative crowd funding model leveraging international funders, and built a 2,05 MW rooftop solar system, that will provide power to users in this new development. The system features 3468 Jinko N type solar modules  and 8 Huawei 200 KTL inverters.
